Greenlight boost for Billown meeting

Greenlight Television is to sponsor this year’s Southern 100 races, alongside the Steam Packet Company.

Greenlight, based in Tromode, will film the racing in July and produce a DVD of the event, as well as help the Southern 100 organisers with funding.

Company director Richard Nichols says he's delighted to be involved, and is praising the dedication of organisers.

But he says capturing the atmosphere and flavour of the Billown Circuit isn't quite enough to make up for the disappointment of losing the TV rights for the TT to North One Television:
