Mylchreests MD delighted to regain TT contract

A key TT contract has been given back to a Manx company, after being taken away from it last year.

Mylchreests Motors will once again be the official car provider for the event, a role it had enjoyed for 59 years until it lost out to Audi in 2008.

The Tourism and Leisure Minister at the time, Adrian Earnshaw, said the German firm's offer was too good to refuse and a two year deal was apparently signed.

It turns out the contract was for one year with the option of another, but that wasn't taken up.

Mylchreests has successfully tendered for the 2009 contract and managing director David Mylchreest says it's great to be back:
