Green waste isn't being composted - Shimmin

The widely held belief that green waste deposited at the Eastern Civic Amenity Site in Douglas is being incinerated, rather than composted, is true.

Tynwald has also been told composting is taking place at centres in other parts of the Island.

DoLGE Minister John Shimmin said he was far from happy with the situation, but hoped to be able to make some progress in the future (play extended audio file):
