Keirron could scoop prize today

by isleofman.com 16th March 2009
The Isle of Man will find out today if it has won an award for one of its recent television adverts.

A promotional ad commissioned by the Department of Tourism and Leisure, and featuring Island resident Keirron Tastagh, is up for a 2009 Travel Marketing Award, in the budget category.

The award ceremony has been organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing's Travel Industry Group and replaces the highly prestigious Travel Advertising Awards which ran for over 30 years.

Each advert will be judged on campaign strategy, creativity and execution, among other criteria.

Tourism Minister Martyn Quayle, representatives from the department's advertising agency Truly and Mr Tastagh himself have been invited to the ceremony at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel in London.
