St John’s are now clear favourites for the CFS Division Two title.

While they were thrashing Malew 5-1 at Mullen-e-Cloie, leaders Castletown went down to only their second defeat of the season at Pulrose.

Richard Sharman headed Pulrose in front but Town equalised before the break through a Mike Edge penalty.

Town were on top in the opening 20 minutes of the second half but it was Pulrose who regained the lead when Sharman’s free-kick went under the defensive wall.

The home side took charge and secured victory when Gregg Wood’s long clearance fell to Michael Dawson who chipped over an exposed Jake Sansbury.

Town still lead the table but St John’s are now only three points behind them with three games in hand.

Substitute Mark Wolfenden was their hero with a hat-trick in a 5-1 home success against Malew.

Louis Morris opened the scoring and Nick Ford notched the other with Adam Fretwell scoring for Malew.

Ramsey Youth Centre’s fine season continued with a 5-2 victory at the Police.

Goals from Martin Murphy, John Livesey and Glenn McGovern, plus two own goals, secured all three points.

The Police scorer was Adam Heaps and there was also another own goal.

Craig Dolman hit four as Douglas Royal thrashed Douglas and District 8-2, while Shane Larkin scored twice and Carl Kenny grabbed one in Braddan’s 3-1 win at Onchan, for whom Mike Spencer scored.

The father and son partnership of Martin and Aaron Costain were on target as Foxdale saw off Ronaldsway 4-2.

Adam Heyes netted the other for the home side and there was an own goal.
