Dog rescued from cliffs

by isleofman.com 12th March 2009
A dog stranded on cliffs on the north side of Laxey Bay was rescued by coastguards this morning.

Teams from Ramsey went to the aid of the black Labrador, which was recovered safe and well, and none the worse for the experience.

The Isle of Man Coastguard says the owner did the right thing in making the call for assistance.

Members of the public are reminded that in the event of any rescue or emergency situation at sea, on the cliffs or on the coast the Coastguard should be contacted by dialling 999.

The incident happened at about 10am.
