Children from twinned towns make contact

Pupils at a Douglas primary school are putting pen to paper to make new friends across the Irish Sea.

St Thomas' C of E School has been twinned with Bushvalley School in Ballymoney, County Antrim.

The link was arranged by Douglas Borough Council, through which the capital is twinned with Ballymoney, which was the hometown of 26 times TT winner Joey Dunlop.

Headteacher at St Thomas' Jonathan Ayres says pupils have already been in contact with children at the school in Northern Ireland:
