Plans for Conservation Zone at an early stage

Anglers will have to wait and see whether they can fish in the proposed Marine Conservation Area.

Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne was asked about the subject by Malew and Santon MHK Graham Cregeen, who wanted to know whether leisure anglers would be allowed into the zone.

Mr Gawne told the House of Keys the plans were still in their early stages and there was no decision yet about where the area would be, let alone who could use it.
