More opinion sought on planned taxi changes

There is to be further consultation about taxi licensing and whether the industry should be thrown open to new entrants.

Transport Minister David Anderson answered a question about taxis from Douglas South MHK Bill Malarkey in the House of Keys today.

Mr Anderson explained a DoT committee had been looking at whether to start issuing new licences.

He said there was a range of suggested plans, but a way to go before anything was decided:
