Crebbin Takes up DTL Communications Post

The Department of Tourism and Leisure has announced the appointment of Angela Crebbin as its Tourism Communications Manager. Angela, a full member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and Chartered Marketer, has a postgraduate marketing diploma and many years' experience in marketing management.  After completing her Business Studies degree, she began her career with the Burton Group in London as a trainee Merchandiser, later moving to Manx Telecom where she managed a team for over 17 years.

Crebbin comments: ‘I recognise the importance of tourism to the economy and am looking forward to being part of a team helping to develop the tourism industry and the rewarding experience it will bring'. She will be focusing on identifying new opportunities for tourism on the Island, whilst maximising the impact of the Communications team and building on the www.visitisleofman.com website.

Hon Martyn Quayle, Minister for Tourism and Leisure, commented: ‘We are delighted that Angela has joined us and appreciate that her knowledge, skills and expertise will be a great asset to the Communications Team.  I am confident she has the ambition and practical project management experience to strengthen the Department and drive tourism forward.  ‘The fact that Angela is a stalwart member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a body that can deliver tailor-made training in a variety of ways to suit individual organisations and build development programmes to improve competency and ability to deliver value, will be of great benefit to the Department'.
