Warning to dog owners after sheep is killed

by isleofman.com 9th March 2009
Police are urging dog owners to keep their pets under control as the lambing season starts.

The appeal comes after a sheep in Patrick was killed at the weekend.

The incident happened between Saturday and midday on Sunday, when officers think the animal was attacked by a loose dog.

They are now appealing for witnesses to come forward, and say dogs may face fatal consequences in certain circumstances and their owners held responsible.

If you have any information, you can contact police on 631212.
