Penalty heartache for Island

by isleofman.com 8th March 2009
There was penalty heartache for the Isle of Man under 18s in the FA County Youth Cup semi-final on Saturday.

Kent won a dramatic penalty shoot-out in sudden death to triumph at the Bowl after the sides had drawn 2-2 after extra-time.

Kent took the lead before St John's Anthony Moore brought the hosts level.

The Island then took the lead in extra-time through Chris Cannell before being pegged back and the English county came through on spot-kicks.

After the match, Island manager Kevin Manning was full of praise for his side.
