'Restocking' plan for empty stores!

Empty properties in the main shopping area of Douglas could soon be given a new lease of life.

It's planned to cover all the windows of vacant premises, such as Woolworths, with vinyl screen-prints, depicting fully stocked premises with customers inside.

Vice chairman of the Policy and Resources Committee Stephen Pitts says the Douglas Development Partnership is keen to go ahead with the initiative, and all that's needed now is the permission of the property owners:
