The Queen's Commonwealth Day message will start proceedings in the House of Keys and Legislative Council next week.
The aim of the day is to promote understanding on global issues, international co-operation and the work carried out to improve the lives of the two billion citizens in the member countries.
This year the Commonwealth is celebrating its 60th anniversary, and the theme of the day is "Serving a new generation".
Once Her Majesty's message has been relayed to the Keys, it will be down to the business of questions, with the 16 items on the order paper including a number of familiar topics.
Michael MHK David Cannan has four queries relating to Kaputhing Singer and Friedlander; South Douglas member Bill Malarky will call on the transport minister to give details of his department's recommendations on the Road Transport Act, before the taxi issue is taken back to Tynwald; and Onchan MHK Peter Karran will ask the chief minister if he thinks his bullying and harassment policies are working.
The trade and industry minister will come under pressure from North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson over the town and village regeneration scheme. Mr Henderson wants to know when the first project will be rolled out, if areas earmarked for use during the Commonwealth Youth Games could benefit from the fund and whether money will be targeted to rid Douglas of its eyesores.
Unusually, there is no other business on the order paper apart from the questions.
The Legislative Council will give the Social Security (Amendment) Bill a second reading, and the Gender Recognition Bill will come before members for the first time.
There's also a question from George Waft about efforts by the Department of Local Government and the Environment to upgrade the Island's town and villages.
Question time in the House of Keys will be broadcast live on Manx Radio's AM 1368 frequency from 10am on Tuesday.
