Talks on Bowl Redevelopment to Continue

Manx Radio undertands that further talks on the stalled redevelopment of The Bowl will take place this afternoon (Tuesday).

Tourism Minister Martyn Quayle faced a barrage of questions about the proposed venue for the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games Rugby Sevens tournament in the House of Keys this morning.

Douglas Corporation owns the facility but says it can't afford to fund the scheme without help from Government.

The Bowl was picked to host the Rugby three years ago.

Mr Quayle refused to comment about the possibility of compulsory purchase:-
