Charity music event seeks new venue

by isleofman.com 3rd March 2009
The opening event of this year’s TT festival has hit a snag, after the organisers were told the venue won't be available on the traditional day.

This year, Bushy’s beer tent will be open during practice week, which means Manx Charity Aid’s 12-hour concert featuring local bands will have to find a new home.

The event raises about ?10,000 a year, which is split between local charities nominated by the bands taking part.

Andrea Dentith of Manx Charity Aid says Bushy's continues to provide great support, but the date offered this time just didn't work (play attached audio file):

Anybody who can offer an alternative venue for the 12-hour Manx Charity Aid concert is asked to email manxcharityaid@manx.net or ring Andrea Dentith, on 462660.
