The bid for the Sure Mobile Premier League remains a three-way battle.

Leaders Peel thrashed Colby 6-1 at Douglas Road to stay clear at the top.

A double from Johnny Myers and one each from Neil Birchenough, Juan Killip, Marc Kelly, Daniel Bell secured a comprehensive victory.

Craig Gelling scored the Colby goal in the first half.

Goals from Chris Melly and Callum Morrissey fired reigning champions St George's to three points but they were given a scare by Corinthians, who they overcame 2-1 at Glencrutchery Road.

Richard Mulhearn scored the goal for the visitors who will be heartened by the closeness of the scoreline as they try and avoid relegation.

St Mary’s are also in the title hunt after first half goals from Mark and Steven Priestnal sealed a 2-0 home victory over battling Ayre, who remain bottom.

If a fourth team still has title aspirations it’s Old Boys.

First half goals from Callum Stewart, Sean Gavin and Dean France ensured they were 3-0 winners over Michael – their second victory against the westerners in a week.

Gymns eased any relegation doubts with a 2-1 victory over Railway Cup holders Rushen.

In a match played at Tromode, Stephen Riding scored the Rushen goal.

Laxey continued their return to form by thrashing Union Mills 6-1 at Glen Road.

After a close first half, the Miners ran out comfortable winners with goals from Sam Theobold, John Baker, Dave Thomas, Rob Sorby, John Callow and Gary Williams.

Sam Cain notched the Millers’ consolation.
