Ambulance staff needed

by isleofman.com 1st March 2009
If you think you’ve got what it takes to join the Island’s ambulance service, the Department of Health and Social Security wants to hear from you.

Free training placements are being organised for Island residents to become qualified ambulance technicians – the first step towards becoming a paramedic.

The courses are 10 weeks long and will teach a combination of medical and driving skills. Successful candidates will be offered jobs covering for absences and responding to some of the Island’s 7,500 calls each year.

If you’d like more information you can contact Russell Thornhill on number 642710 or Steve Sieling on 642134.
