Manx sportsman appeals to thieves

by isleofman.com 27th February 2009
A well-known visually impaired Manx sportsman is appealing to the better nature of thieves who targeted his office premises.

Cyclist Ian Sharpe runs an IT software business in Ramsey.

He arrived at work on Thursday morning to find someone had made off with several items of specialised equipment including a Dell Lap Top, configured to allow him to work with very limited vision.

He says it's highly unlikely the burglars would be able to access the computer, which makes it completely useless to anyone but him.

Ian says it's going to take him weeks to get up to speed again, which will have a huge impact on both his personal and professional life.

He has this message for anyone who may have information.
