Job losses at RBS 'likely'

by isleofman.com 27th February 2009
A business expert in the UK is warning it's likely there will be job losses at Royal Bank of Scotland in the Isle of Man.

That's the view of Justin Urquhart Stewart from Severn Investment Management.

RBS owns Isle of Man Bank, Coutts and Nat West.

His comments come following the news RBS posted losses of nearly ?24 billion for 2008, the largest annual loss seen in the UK.

This is happening while there's a restructuring operation for the Group's offshore operations.

Mr Urquhart Stewart says job losses definately can't be ruled out.
