Witnesses plea after bar attack

by isleofman.com 26th February 2009
Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after an assault in Whispers Bar in the Hilton Hotel in Douglas.

The incident happened at around 2.40am on Saturday morning as a 41 year-old man stood at the bar with a friend.

He received facial injuries in the attack and officers say they’d like to hear from anyone in the bar, particularly a middle aged man wearing a blue shirt and dark trousers.

Officers are stressing they don’t believe it was a random assault and there’s no immediate cause for concern amongst the public.

If you have any information, you can contact police headquarters on 631212.
