Burglars target property of partially sighted man

by isleofman.com 26th February 2009
A partially sighted man has had some of his specialised equipment stolen from his office in Parliament Street, Ramsey.

Sometime between 5pm on Wednesday and 8am this morning, thieves broke in through the back door of the property on Auckland Terrace.

They searched all the rooms, damaged an internal door and took various things including a Dell laptop and separate hard drive.

The computer was specially set up for the owner to work with very limited vision.

His glasses were also broken during the burglary, again these are very specialised and will be very difficult to replace.

Ramsey police are appealing to anyone with any information to come forward as soon as possible to help alleviate the problems the victim is going to have in continuing his work.
