Discover & Do

by isleofman.com 25th February 2009
Children can get on the ‘Discovery Trail’ at the Manx Museum this week.

During half-term, five to 11 year olds will be able to travel back in time and explore the Island’s past, from prehistoric to Viking to more recent times.

Manx National Heritage has launched the trail, which involves answering questions and completing small activities in different galleries throughout the museum.

At the end of the trail, all children will receive an educational discovery voucher, enabling them to visit another MNH attraction free.

Also, at The House of Manannan, there’s Victorian Papercraft workshops where children aged between five and 15 can make a picture frame, bookmark or card. Workshops have to be booked in advance.
