Dealer will face random drug testing

by isleofman.com 20th February 2009
A 20 year-old man who admitted possessing cocaine and supplying cannabis resin has been given a five month prison sentence suspended for two years, by High Bailiff Michael Moyle.

Oliver Clifford Larrassey, of Lakeside View in Douglas, was also made the subject of a two year supervision order, with monthly random drug testing.

The defendant was arrested by police at 2am on April 6 when he was seen with a group of men.

The men all ran off but Larrassey was caught.

He was described as being nervous and was seen dropping something on the floor and attempting to put his foot on it.

Police picked it up and found it was two wraps of cocaine, weighing 2.5 grammes.

He also had three phones which when examined showed he was involved in the supply of drugs.

Larrassey admitted that he had supplied cannabis to his friends.

His advocate said Larrassey had resolved to change his lifestyle and supervision would help him achieve that change.

Mr Moyle warned him of the consequences if he breached any part of the sentence.
