by isleofman.com 19th February 2009
Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a property in Primrose Avenue, Douglas.

It happened sometime between 8.30am and 7.15pm yesterday while the house was empty.

Burglars got in through a garage window at the rear of the property.

Item taken included a DVD Player, a light grey coloured Sky+ Box with Sky card , a Nintendo Wii Console with various games and balance board, and a quantity of cash.

Police say such incidents are rare on the Island, but the public needs to be aware of home security.

Anyone with information about the incident or the stolen property is asked to ring Lord Street police station on 631212.
