by isleofman.com 19th February 2009
Over 50 people were recognised today for their contributions to the Isle of Man's police force.

A ceremony at the Sefton Hotel in Douglas saw regular officers, special constables and members of the public receiving awards.

The accolades ranged from Warrants of Establishment to Commendations for Saving a Life.

Chief Constable Mike Langdon says it gave him a great deal of satisfaction to see the awards handed out (play attached audio file):

You can hear more from what happened at the awards ceremony in Mandate tomorrow morning.
