Tynwald votes for KSF inquiry

An inquiry is to be held into the Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander affair, but Tynwald has adjourned further consideration of the matter until the May sitting.

Michael MHK David Cannan had a motion on this month's order paper for an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collapse of the bank.

This afternoon the court decided an inquiry should be held, but members felt it wasn't the right time to proceed.

The adjournment received unanimous support, with Mr Cannan backing the decision:
