Cost of getting to Island is still too high

Manx Hospitality Partnership chairman Theo Fleurbaay doesn't think the Isle of Man is seeing the benefits of more Brits holidaying at home during the current gloomy economic times.

Tourism and Leisure Minister Martyn Quayle recently said a ?1.1 million television advertising campaign had led to an increase in enquiries from holidaymakers, as well as raising the profile of the Island.

But Mr Fleurbaay says the cost of getting here remains a barrier for many people:
