Triumphant Special Olympians back from USA

The Isle of Man's Special Olympians returned from the USA yesterday evening to a rapturous reception at Ronaldsway Airport.

They claimed four golds and a silver at the World Winter Games in Boise, Idaho.

Sports Editor Tim Glover went along and firstly caught up with double gold-winning snowshoe athlete Jody Blaney, who got two of those golds: (audio clip attached)

Meanwhile the floor hockey team took gold also, winning all ten games in the process.

Tim spoke to team member Lawrence Dyer and asked him if they now thought of themselves as world champions: (audio clip attached)
