Hosereel extinguishes lounge fire

by isleofman.com 16th February 2009
Fire crews in the north of the Island tackled a house fire in Ramsey on Sunday morning.

Three appliances, two from Ramsey and one from Kirk Michael, were called out to a property in Romney Wynd at about 10.5am.

The blaze was around the lounge fireplace and crews put it out with a hosereel, after removing the hearth.

Floor beams affected were also cut away

Damage was confined to the lounge and the garage beneath.
