Police to question family and friends of Eddie Ardern

Police are continuing to piece together the final hours before the death of former Heron and Brearley boss Eddie Ardern, whose body was found on the shore below Onchan Head

A search for the 61 year-old was launched on Thursday night, after concerns were raised for his safety.

Teams of officers from the police, ambulance, coastguard, lifeboat and civil defence scoured the cliffs and coastline near the old holiday camp below the Onchan to Groude road.

Mr Ardern's car was parked nearly.

His body was later recovered from the water's edge by a lifeboat crew.

Detective Sergeant Brian Shimmin says officers will be talking to people who knew the man well:
