by isleofman.com 13th February 2009
Police are to give further details later of the circumstances surrounding the death of Eddie Ardern, whose body was found in the sea below Onchan Head last night.

Emergency services recovered Mr Ardern's body near Groudle after a full-scale search involving ambulance and police officers, the coastguard, civil defence and a lifeboat crew.

A cliff search is now underway as police begin to build-up a picture of Mr Ardern's final hours.

Mr Ardern, who was 61, was a former managing director of Heron and Brearley.

The brewery's chairman Jonathan Clague paid this tribute to his former colleague.
