A Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander depositor has told Manx Radio of his anger and frustration at seemingly being ignored by the Isle of Man government.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, says he has repeatedly emailed those dealing with the Early Payment Scheme but has received no reply.
The depositor says he merely wants to find out how the scheme will work, as the money tied up in the bank is a trust for his two young children, set up with a sum left by a late relative.
Following a total lack of response, the depositor says he sent the following email to, among others, Chief Minister Tony Brown and Chief Secretary Mary Williams.
It read:
"Can it please be explained to me why, having sent approximately ten e-mails over the last ten days to KSFDepositors@gov.im that nobody has had the courtesy to even send me an acknowledgment or indeed other response to any of my e-mails?
"Do you realise for one second what message your government is sending out to those many depositors who are already under a great deal of stress as a result of placing their hard earned savings with an Isle of Man regulated savings institution?
"Perhaps one of the recipients of this e-mail will have the courtesy to at least acknowledge that I and many others in a similar position as me, actually exist and manage to 'inconvenience' themselves sufficiently by replying to this e-mail.
"That would certainly be a start!"
The depositor says he has not received a response to this email either.
