Another Win for Hockey Squad

by isleofman.com 12th February 2009
The Isle of Man Special Olympics Floor Hockey team has qualified for the semi-finals at the World Winter Games in the United States of America.

Yesterday's 7-5 win over Jordan maintained the Manx squad's 100% record making it eight wins from eight games.

The scorers were Andrew Richardson with four goals, Daniel Kelly, Gareth Cowin and Mark Henry.

They play Austria in the semi-finals later today - they beat the Austrians in the qualifying stages.

Also back in action later will be our gold medal Snowshoe runners Jody Blaney and Paul Clucas who go in the 25 metre races.
