Daylight robbery in Peveril Street

Detectives are hunting burglars who broke into a house in Douglas in broad daylight yesterday.

The thieves targeted a house in Peveril Street and managed to get inside around the back of the prmises between 9.30am and 5.30pm.

Police say those responsible got away with a quantity of cash, although the exact amount has not been released.

They say they are anxious to hear from anyone who may have heard or seen someone acting suspiciously in the area.
