Roads update from DoT

by isleofman.com 9th February 2009
Part of the Mountain Road is open to traffic again, after being closed yesterday afternoon due to snow.

It’s reopened between Hilberry and Creg-ny-Baa, although the stretch from Hillberry to Ramsey remains closed.

A number of other routes are still closed because of the snow and ice, namely the Ballanass Road in Foxdale, Shoulder Road and Sloc Road in Malew and part of Colby Glen Road in Arbory.

The Department of Transport says Ballanass Road will reopen at 4.30pm or when the ice and snow have been cleared, whichever is earlier.
