FA Cup holders St George’s reached the quarter-finals with a resounding success at Division Two Marown on Saturday.

Doubles from Callum Morrissey and Jack McVeigh, plus one apiece from Sean Quaye and Chris Bass junior, secured a 6-0 victory at Crosby.

Peel gained revenge for their Railway Cup Final defeat to arch rivals Rushen in the tie of the round.

Two goals from Kerron Christian and one from Marc Kelly sealed a comprehensive 3-0 victory.

The only downside for Peel was the last minute dismissal of Christian for a second bookable offence.

Michael showed too much for Division Two Malew with a 4-0 success at Clagh Vane.

Two goals in each half ensured their progress – Michael Hammond, Jamie Moffatt, Kevin Pulman and Dean Wales the scorers.

Old Boys are in the last eight after a 3-1 home win over Colby, courtesy of two goals from Callum Stewart and one from Tommy Miller.

Mark Barron notched the Colby goal.

Lee Cowley was the star with four as Laxey won 5-1 at Pulrose.

Gary Williams scored the other goal for the Miners with Mike Dawson scoring the Pulrose goal.

Ayre United triumphed in a dramatic penalty shoot-out after they and St John’s battled each other to a standstill at Mulen-e-Cloie.

A goalless 120 minutes led to the shoot-out with 2003FA Cup winners Ayre eventually winning 9-8 on spot-kicks.

The prolific Steven Priestnal was the hero as St Mary’s bounced back to form with a 6-1 thrashing of Union Mills at the Bowl.

He hit a four goal haul – including three in four minutes – with Marc Priestnal and Martin Reilly grabbing the others.

Matthew Woods was the Millers’ marksman.
