Chance to say goodbye to an old friend!

A celebration of the Grand Island takes place in Ramsey this evening.

Anyone with any connection to the hotel, passed or present, is invited to go along.

The northern landmark is due to close after it was deemed commercially unviable to keep operating.

It will be demolished in due course to make way for apartments, but only after a new hotel development is started nearby.
