Grieving mother remembers her daughter

by isleofman.com 5th February 2009
The mother of road accident victim Francesca Staniszlo has paid a moving tribute to her.

The 28 year-old from Douglas died 12 days ago, after her car went out of control and collided with a wall in Governor's Road, Onchan.

She passed away in Noble's Hospital from multiple injuries.

Erika Staniszlo–O’Donnell says her daughter had been due to return to her UK home 24 hours later.

She told Manx Radio:

"It hasn't sunk in at all, I just think I'm having a bad dream and I'll wake up and everything is going to be alright.

"We are finding it so hard, it's such a shock to the system.

"We've got to be strong for Francesca because she wouldn't have had it any other way, she wouldn't want us to be sitting down being miserable.

"I can't believe that I'm organising things for her funeral.

"She was so looking forward to coming back here, she was so excited and happy about it, and that's all been taken away from her."
