Mona Drive case goes to General Gaol

A 31 year-old man who was involved in an incident in which a police officer was seriously injured has been committed for trial to a Court of General Gaol by the High Bailiff.

Benjamin Phillip Haslam, of Mona Drive in Douglas, is charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent on PC Andy Morgan.

He is also accused of dangerous driving and driving while disqualified.

The offences were allegedly committed in Douglas on November 29 last year.

The defendant was remanded in custody and reporting restrictions were not lifted.
