Mountain Road should reopen later

There was some snowfall on the Island overnight, but not enough to cause major travel problems.

The Cronk y Voddy road had reopened by breakfast time, after being closed overnight from Ballig to Douglas Road Corner, Kirk Michael.

The Mountain Road is still closed (12.30pm), although police are hoping it will reopen soon.

All other roads on the Island are currently open.

Inspector Richard Power from the Roads Policing Unit says while conditions aren't terrible, motorists should take extra care:
