Power in Douglas restored

by isleofman.com 3rd February 2009
Power has been restored to a number of properties in the Lord Street and South Quay area of Douglas.

A power cut, lasting just over an hour, was caused by third party cable damage, according to the MEA.

The MEA said this evening that everything should be back to normal, but asked anybody who still had problems to ring 687687.

Supplies were restored at about 6.15pm.

Among the premises affected were the Tesco store and Manx Radio although, as usual in such circumstances, the station continued to broadcast using a generator.
