Champs win in Premier League

It’s two wins out of two for champions Vikings A after they saw off the spirited challenge of Valkyrs A on Saturday.

Goals from Kirsty Hunt (two), Kim Carney and Karen Faragher sealed a 4-2 success.

Andrea Kneen netted both for Valkyrs.

It was honours even between Bacchas A and Phoenix A.

Sharon Pope scored the Bacchas goal with Gill Smith netting for Phoenix.

And Katherine Craine, Sarah Breen and Laura Bellwood were on target as Ramsey edged out Castletown A in an exciting five goal contest.

Lauren Stewart and Kerry Kelly replied for Town.

In the men’s Premier Division, Ollie Webster was the star of the day.

He hit all of his side’s goals – SIX – as Ramsey A defeated Castletown A 6-3.

Richard McAleer and Sven Lindqhart (two) found the net for Town.

Reigning champions Bacchas A put five past Vikings B without reply – Karl Moore (two), Andy Bridson, Andy Whiting and Jamie Cox the scorers – while rivals Valkyrs A also went on the rampage against their B side, recording a 6-1 win.

Greg Miller, Chris Caldwell (two), Russell Miller, Gerry Quinn and Neil Jacobs hit the goals with Tim Groves scoring the B side’s consolation.

Bacchas B gained the result of the day, holding Vikings A to a 2-2 draw.

Juan Corlett and Steven Crowe scored for Vikings with Will Wood and Mark Parsons the Bacchas’ marksmen.
