Council dips into reserves

Douglas Council will press ahead with a number a projects in the forthcoming municipal year, despite the credit crunch.

Council leader David Christian (pictured) told the budget meeting reserve funds would be used, to minimise the cost to rate payers (play attached audio file):

Rates in Douglas are set to increase by 3.2 per cent from April 1.
