Domestic incident ends up in court

High Bailiff Michael Moyle has adjourned sentence on a 46 year-old man charged with assaulting his wife.

Gary Mincher, of Castletown, admitted causing her actual bodily harm on December 30.

The court heard police went to the Minchers' home at 4.40am that day, and found Mrs Mincher with a cut to her head.

There were shards of glass on the floor and in her hair, and she was taken to Noble's Hospital for treatment.

Mincher was arrested and said he no recollection of what happened.

He was bailed by Mr Moyle until February 24.
