Council responds to economic downturn

Council leader David Christian has announced the proposed rate in Douglas for the forthcoming municipal year.

The Policy and Resources Committee is recommending an increase of 3.2%, which is below the rate of inflation.

Mr Christian told councillors the strategy reflected the current economic uncertainty in the Island, and further afield.
