Special Olympians prepare for Games

In Just over a week's time, the Isle of Man team of 27 athletes and coaches will leave for the Special Olympics World Winter Games at Boise, Idaho, U.S.of A.

Over 100 countries will send around 2,500 competitors to take part in the seven sports.

The Manx are entered into the floor hockey and snowshoeing.

Lawrence Dyer is looking forward to scoring plenty of goals in the hockey but says the event is about more than just the sport:-
