Social security changes proposed

An Onchan MHK will move a raft of amendments to the Social Security Bill in the House of Keys today.

Among other things, Peter Karran wants to ensure the current generation of young people in the Isle of Man have adequate care in their old age, and to see the inpatient beds at the drug and alcohol unit at Ard Aalin to come into use.

Mr Karran (pictured) would also like a benefit to be paid directly to charities for the homeless in the Island.
