Holocaust Memorial Day

The Isle of Man is being urged to 'Stand up to Hatred' today (Sunday).

It's the theme of the annual Holocaust Memorial Day, which aims to commemorate victims, honour survivors and tackle prejudice.

There's a service at St George's Church in Douglas at 3pm this afternoon to which everyone, regardless of religion, is invited.

One of the organisers Leonard Singer says it's a time to remember and respect the past, but also commit to a better future (audio file attached):
