Markwell House advice after floods

Anyone expected to 'sign on' tomorrow (Monday) doesn't have to due to the flood which has kept Markwell House closed since Wednesday.

Giros will be issued automatically to current claimants and new customers can sign on in Prospect House.

A burst water pipe caused extensive damage to all floors of the building, although some areas are expected to re-open tomorrow.

Director of Social Security, Ken Crellin, says adjustments to benefits will be made at a later date if necessary (audio file attached):
